Becoming a Coach

The WKMBA depends on parents and volunteers to provide coaching for all levels and teams. We are very supportive of new coaches and offer training and clinics to our coaches at no cost wherever we can. If you are interested in coaching or assistant coaching please let your division director or your child's existing coach know... we depend on you and would love to have you join our coaching staff!

Usually starting as early as mid-January, NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) coaching courses are offered online through BC Coaches Conference or directly through Baseball Canada.  You will need to pay for these courses upfront, but all active coaches in WKMBA will be reimbursed fully for any courses.

 

Coaching High Performance (HP) Teams

NCCP Certification is required to coach any HP teams from 11U and up.  You can find the NCCP requirements here and your status Baseball Canada's website.  Some of the multi-sport courses you will need to access through The Locker on Coach.ca.  There are also many other non-required but great courses in The Locker that will help level-up your coaching.
